| | i keep going back to this quote from matchpoint The man who said "I'd rather be lucky than good" saw deeply into life. People are afraid to face how great a part of life is dependent on luck. It's scary to think so much is out of one's control. There are moments in a match when the ball hits the top of the net, and for a split second, it can either go forward or fall back. With a little luck, it goes forward, and you win. Or maybe it doesn't, and you lose. i don't think im lucky, but i do think that i have bad luck at times. things just happen to me...cars catching on fire, destructive relationships, bad hair days... so after my dianne feinstein event, i came home last night and found my car had been broken into...in my garage. they smashed my driverside window and took my ipod nano which was buried at the bottom of my armrest (so if anyone finds an ipod nano with "ballisticbunnee" etched on the back, you know where that came from). one shattered window later, i think they realized that there was nothing really worth taking. i didnt report it to my insurance or file a police report, but i am sitting at the honda dealer by city hall thinking that im $515 in the hole. ...at least i got a free car wash.
